i'm trying that out now. giving attention to both.
aren't owls supposed to have something to do with sex too? maybe that's just me... i didn't pick it for either reason, i just liked the owl. he had a nice smile.

he does have a very nice smile. maybe because he has something to do with sex. i wouldn't know though. the only owl i deal with is the one in winnie the pooh and he seems rather sexless.
Ok looked it up in Wikipedia and there's nothing there about owls being in any way related to sex. It seems the most common cultural perceptions of owls are that they are bad omens: demonic, symbols of an impending death, taboo in relation to sorcery. The other about 35% of the perceptions listed had something to do with the owl being a revered being: messenger of the gods, symbol of wisdom, bringer of wealth. Interesting. I like that duality. Hehe, I love how this unfolds after I finished the art piece.
I'm glad Winnie the Pooh's owl is rather sexless. That would be strange. I forget, is that owl a smart one or a dumb one? It seems in Finland, they see the owl as a "symbol of imbecility" because of it's 'dumb' stare.

Hey, marriage in no way stands in the way of my periodically intense Wikipedia addiction. I make sure of that. Well, that and she was in the other room doing stuff.
Ah, so he's a smart imbecile. Those are the worst kind.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example.
